Saint Cloud became a University in the year 1975 A.D. saint cloud has more than 5 college and graduate schools and they are; college of science and engineering, college of liberal arts, school of education, school of health and human service, G.R. Herberger business school, school of computing engineering and environment, school of public affairs and school of arts. The University has been giving doctoral degree since the year of 2007. The previous names of Saint Cloud are St. Cloud normal school (1869-1921), St. Cloud State Teacher College (1921-1957), St. Cloud State College (1957-1975) and finally St. Cloud State University (1975-till now). Saint Cloud State University provides 60 graduate programs such as Master of Arts, business, engineering management, music, science etc. they have conducted more than 32 educational abroad programs.
